Hickoree's Hard Goods

I think I’m in love with this site. The clean lines, crisp clear photography and colourful concise product offering makes my retina’s smile.

Run by brothers Sandy and Emil Corsillo, the two-man team have created a site that stays true to creating something personal and authentic.

They seem to know exactly who they are and who their customer is. This shop is all about character and interesting American products whilst maintaining a simple design ethos.

The product mix is clear and I like the “here’s what you could have had” element by fading product that is out of stock rather than removing it entirely. Encouraging customers to get in touch with them to find out when that item will be back in stock.

Here’s my picks:

$110 - BEAUTY & YOUTH U.A. - SLIP-ON SNEAKER, NATURAL "ALOHA" PRINT

$122.00 - FOLK - SLUB COTTON BLOCK PRINT TANK TOP

$350 - SIERRA DESIGNS - SHORT PARKA, NAVY / VINTAGE TAN

The brothers are also creators and owners of their own brand - The Hill-side, specializing in selvedge fabric neck ties.

$83 - THE HILL-SIDE - S57-054 - SELVEDGE GUATEMALAN HAND-WOVEN TIE, TURQUOISE IKAT / MULTI STRIPE

They've done various collaborations with numerous brands but this Parrott Canvas tote is probably my favourite item on their whole site at the moment. It combines one of The Hill-side’s signature camo prints with hard wearing practicality known to come out of the Parratt Canvas work shop in North Carolina.

$85.00 - PARROTT CANVAS / TH-S & CO. "LEAF CAMO" UTILITY TOTE

Emil and Sandy Corsillo seem pretty good fun too. You can read a few interviews with them here –
